    In here our guide will be welcome the guests and start the tour from here. The German Fountain is a neo-Byzantine style fountain located in Sultanahmet Square, Istanbul. It was a gift from German Emperor Wilhelm II to the Ottoman Empire, commemorating his 1898 visit. Built in Germany and assembled in Istanbul in 1900, it features a domed canopy with green and gold mosaics, symbolizing German-Ottoman friendship.

    We will step to 60 meters down to the beautiful cistern with lights. The Basilica Cistern, also known as the Yerebatan Sarnıcı, is an ancient underground water storage facility in Istanbul. Built in the 6th century during the reign of Emperor Justinian I, it features 336 marble columns and can hold up to 80,000 cubic meters of water, serving as a crucial water source for the city during Byzantine times. Our guide will provide detailed information to the guests here, offer some free time for photos, and then proceed to the next destination.
